Cliche

Cliche

Is my new religion

As in

It’s where I earnestly receive life wisdom and advice

And there are contradictions in cliches

But I can accept them because

Taoism teaches us to accept the contradictions.

Nutrition advice

Such as from my track coach

Would include

Don’t eat to much bacon

It stays in you way too long, that bad fat

But then my boyfriend’s mum, a doctor

Gave him a book that said

Bacon is good fat

Just avoid too many carbs

So I choose to believe

I should eat plenty of bacon

One big cliche is that

The older you get, the wiser you get

Through your life experiences

And I think this is true because it happened to me

Or I could say I happened to it

But some people never get over things

Some people die without much wisdom, or without the wisdom they could have gotten

From another path

Or/like from ayahuasca

There are just all these exceptions

But I choose to believe

I will keep getting wiser from life experience

I was wondering

(en el sanitorio)

Am I doing too much yoga

And someone said

You can’t have too much of a good thing

But I challenged her

All things in moderation

And then an older and wiser fellow walked by who overheard

And he stopped and said

Taoism teaches us to accept the contradictions

So I choose to believe

I can’t do too much yoga
